Fiona Jennings first became interested in Chinese medicine through her study of tai chi chuan and qi gong, which she has practiced for over 20 years and now teaches. After a career as a senior manager in the N. Ireland Health Service, Fiona decided to change direction and follow her heart to study natural health. She qualified with a Diploma in both acupuncture and naturopathy from The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) Dublin in 2009. With her background in qi gong and having experienced tuina in China, she always knew that she wanted to include it in her practice, and began studying with Anthony Monteith. Tuina Therapy Ireland (now INMI) soon after starting her clinic. She has achieved Diploma level in Tuina, including a study trip working in Zhejiang TCM Hospital in Hangzhou, China, and continues to work with INMI, always passionate to increase her knowledge and skills.

In her clinic in Belfast she treats a wide range of conditions and ages – her youngest patient so far has been 6 days old, and her oldest over 90 years of age! She believes in using a combination of different acupuncture styles, Tuina and lifestyle advice as appropriate for each individual.

Doug Murphy is Nutritionist and Western Medical Herbalist at INMI.

Coming from a long tradition of herbal healing he is a third generation traditional herbalist who believes in addressing the root cause of any given condition.

Having worked with herbs for many years in the traditional sense, as passed down through his ancestry, Doug trained as a Western Medical Herbalist and Nutritionist some years ago and thanks to his approach and attention to detail he has seen his practice grow and grow. Treating not only the symptoms presented but delving deeper and really finding the root cause, the very foundation upon which an illness is built is Doug’s forte. Only through bringing the body back to balance can we experience true health, that which we knew as children, that which should never have left us. There is a fine line between illness and health and through the use of Herbs, Nutritional therapy, Tui-Na and Acupuncture Doug specializes in ensuring that the patient stays on the right side of that line.
