WHY THIS WORKSHOP?
DO you ever feel a lack of energy and stamina? have less tolerance to stress? Feelings of overwhelm and under performance? Poor concentration? Less engagement with life? A sense of going through the motions in work to relationships and sex?
These are all so common as to be the normal way to be. This does not have to be the case. Health should be given top priority over all aspects of life, culturally however, this is often not the case. External factors are the motivators, the acquisition of possessions, the career, the relationship. Whilst these are not inherently bad, unless pursued at the expense of health, as is often the case. The course can help to redress the balance. By focussing inwards we develop a deeper connection to our true nature. By having a deeper understanding of the nature of our intrinsic energy and an ability to cultivate and utilise it we can access the most potent life force to enhance creativity, productivity, vitality and clarity.
HOW DO WE WORK ON YOUR HEALTH?
This is practical based exploration into the Taoist (ancient culture) tradition of cultivating and harnessing sexual energy to restore, rejuvenate, revitalise and strengthen the body and mind.
Experience a true abundance of energy!
Sexual energy is the most potent form of energy there is. In the tradition we are said to be born with a certain amount of energy (jing) , our inherited or original source . In our lives we also draw energy from what we consume, food, water, air etc. This is energy we use rather than accumulate. Our fuel for living. It is therefore important to maintain a healthy diet, breath fresh air, drink clean water. physically move and effectively manage stress. The way we live is often detrimental to our energy, through stress, poor diet and lifestyle choices we deplete our essence and fail to compensate. We run our batteries down and fail to recharge them. The course will introduce aspects of movement, meditation, massage and nutrition, which when practiced regularly will improve all aspects of life from relationships to mental clarity, to physical strength and stamina. By cultivating, harnessing and controlling sexual energy one is able to have a much greater level of control over all aspects of their life.
HOW IS THE WORKSHOP DELIVERED?
There are 4 main aspects we will cover with you on the weekend:
Movement: The physical practices are derived from Chi Kung and Nei Kung, essentially Chinese Yoga.
There are two broad categories of movement: the purely physical (external) which help develop stamina, strength, flexibility and balance. The second, which, whilst being a physical movement allows us to develop sensitivity to our inner structure, organs, mind and energy. The Chi Kung forms explored will include; swimming dragon which develops flexibility and coordination, the deer which strengthens and energises the liver and the bear, which works the kidneys. All forms are simple to learn and incredibly powerful.
Meditation: With mindfulness all aspects of the practice can be considered meditative, this is an important aspect to cultivate. The meditations are practiced both in stillness and with movement. The aim is to calm the mind and connect more deeply internally. The initial phase of practice is to cultivate, refine and store energy.
Massage: This is an external physical practice. The techniques are derived from acupressure and Tuina ( chinese physical therapy) which stimulate energy and blood flow. They help stimulate the lymph glands and breakdown any sediment and crystallised fatty deposits that accumulate in the body.
Nutrition: All the practice is supported with nutritional advice, focusing on identifying and eliminating the consumption of detrimental foodstuffs and introducing beneficial supplements and herbs. Crucially the techniques are simple to learn and implement. You will gain a deeper understanding of the potential of the practice. The emphasis is on the practice more than theory. Once the techniques are embodied clear and tangible results occur.
