For thousands of years, it has been Chinese traditional culture method and have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge to study these great science. As man is always fascinated by the great mysteries of life. This traditional method, a kind of fortune telling using eight character is basically plotted by assigning the time related details of our birth in the form of the 5 elements. Like our destiny and the people,events and situations in our lives are analyzed by interpreting the arrangement and the formations of these elements in the Ba zi chart.
By studying the interaction between Man, (the environment), time and the Universe (Heaven) a pattern began to appear. This pattern represented the cyclical influence of the energies in the Universe imprinted on us during the time of our birth. This information is encrypted or coded in the form of eight character Called Ba zi. Therefore the study and practice of Bazi calculation is to allow us to decrypt this code and reveal a persons destiny.
The eight characters in the chart contain the codes of a person’s destiny, a map that shows all the influences of the five elements on the person’s life. Chinese Astrology Bazi also known as Four Pillars of Destiny. Bazi or Four Pillars of destiny is a popular fortune telling systems used in Chinese Astrology nowadays. These eight characters are made up by 4 Heavenly Stems plus 4 Earthly Branches. Each Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch carry one of the Five Elements. This is fundamental of Chinese Astrology Bazi.
In Chinese Astrology the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches are used to represent the year, month, day and time of a person’s birth date. Each Chinese Astrology Bazi chart has a year pillar, month pillar, day pillar (also called Day Master) and hour pillar – For each pillar consists of one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch – Four pillars x 2 Chinese Characters which creates eight words (Bazi – Eight Characters) in total. The correct way in Chinese Astrology to write out a BaZi Chinese Astrology chart is starting at the right hand side with the Heavenly Stem year then work left to the time and repeat the process by moving down to the Earthly Branch year (see example below).
