My name is Lisa Kinsella. I am a member of the INMI that looks after the administration of the clinic and students admissions. I began working at The Clinics 5 months ago, and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
I have worked as a receptionist before so I was very familiar with working in a busy office environment. But working at the Clinics was different. Different in the way that it was very relaxing and a very calm environment to work in.
In any of my previous employments I have always returned to education to further my knowledge in a particular area I am working in, which has always benefited me, but all my training has been academic and a lot of learning involved but what I enjoy most is practical and experiential work.
I have learned a huge amount on a professional and a personal level while working here. Professionally I have learned to update my computer skills by completing an ECDL course, I have learned how to research and prepare information for the students who study in the Institute. But on a personal level I have learned that I would like to learn something new other than computers, I would like to learn more about Acupuncture and Tui Na, and what are the benefits of it.
I have trained in REIKI Healing and I have completed all levels but have never thought of practicing full time. I suppose I always thought that I would only use REIKI as a past time but while working here at The Clinics I came to realise that I enjoy working in the Holistical environment and I feel that this is an area of work that I would like to pursue a career in. I have practiced Reiki on family and friends and have always had positive feedback from them, explaining how relaxing and calming they felt after their session…
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason, and I feel that the opportunity to work here at The Clinics has presented new openings for me that I would only have dreamt of. So for that I am thankful.
