Here at the Clinic at the INMI we have extensive experience of treating sports injuries, we have treated former under age Rugby internationals and we have also treated football ,hurling and soccer teams from the ages of 14 years and above. And we have been involved with treating private athletes who are involved in triathlons. Super athletes doing long distance mega marathons and ultra-distance runners, we have also treated Olympic athletes involved in the Equine industry. We have two therapist here who have played a wide variety of sports in their time. We have Conor Kelly who is an experienced Mountain runner and has extensive experience in dealing with sports injuries, running injuries relate to injurance athletes. And we have Anthony Monteith who has experience in Acrosso   a massive range of activities and has treated people involved in martial arts, gymnastics and your daily weekend warriors who enjoy competing at their leisure.

 

Often we find at the Clinics people are surprised when their injuries are incurred due to normal every day patterns of movement that have actually produced over time, micro tears, micro injuries and then during their training measures these changes and patterns in their movement shows themselves regularly. So the one sport they truly love is the one thing that is highlighting the issues that may have occurred many years ago. And the key to getting back on track with your sport or your love of sport activity is to rehabilitate carefully and gently and methologically so that these injuries do not come back and haunt you and affect your career.
